We love BEEF not just for these outrageous performances, but for the bizarre moments that Lee Sung Jin finds as he explores mental health, class differences and the Asian American experience. All while Amy's incredibly eager to sell her business and Danny's financials are in dire condition. And while their anger is seemingly infinite, it's also somehow hilarious.īeef takes on every single fad in sight, from crypto trading to the weird things rich people pay for.

This A24 series stars Steven Yeun as Danny, a contractor who just so happened to be on the wrong side of a moment of frustration with houseplant business owner Amy (Ali Wong). Rage is best served in a binge-watch of Netflix's BEEF, a dark comedy about that space inside of helplessness where anger blossoms. While co-star Rhea Seehorn, who plays Jimmy's friend and colleague Kim Wexler, wasn't one of the original main cast members, her performance became central to the series.Ĭast: Bob Odenkirk, Rhea Seehorn, Michael McKean, Jonathan Banks

While the series takes its moments showing moments "after" Breaking Bad, it's all about the moments that send McGill into the wrong side of the law. This Breaking Bad prequel/spinoff focuses on slick, shady lawyer Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk), but it begins back when he's small-time lawyer Jimmy McGill - who doesn't work with or for the drug cartels yet. So, if you've never started Better Call Saul, now's the perfect time. Originally airing last year on AMC - where cord-cutters couldn't get it - Better Call Saul is one of Tom's Guide's favorite shows in recent memory. With Better Call Saul season six's recent arrival, one of the best shows on Netflix (heck, one of the best shows of the last decade) is finally complete. It's not awful, but it doesn't feel like Seinfeld.(Image credit: Greg Lewis/AMC/Sony Pictures Television) Season 1: There's really not a lot to say here. And I actually quite like The Final, the problem is most of the episodes before it. I also really dislike how much worse everyone is behaving here especially Elaine, even towards each other. There are some great episodes, but the vibe of the show is really off and it feels like the writers aren't trying to be as creative or intelligent, they are just making a sitcom. Season 9: I'm surprised how much worse season 9 was compared to how I remembered it. But the dialogue is amazing at spots and Chinese Restaurant is a top 10 episode. Season 2 still has great episodes, but it feels quite hit or miss and especially Kramer isn't really worked out as a character yet. Season 2: This is were there is a real drop in quality compared to seasons higher on the list. Things get more crazy and the show starts to get a lot bigger, but it's still funny and charming as hell. Season 8: While a lot has been said about Larry David leaving the show and don't think season 8 suffers that much from it. In a weird way some things seems a bit too stuck in reality, while still being weird compared to season 7. Season 6: Another great season (everything from 3-8 is top quality IMO), but it does feel like it has just a little less classic episodes than the seasons around it.

It also has my all time favourite episode The Fix-up. While there are a couple of light misses there's also plenty of hits. Season 3: This is where the show really starts to find it's groove and the characters get into place. The reason 4 wins out is simply because it has an overall story arc and feels more ambitious. More than half the episodes feel like classics. Season 5: This is extremely close to season 4 for me. Season 4: I love how meta the Jerry arc is and there's just so many classic episodes and a show where the characters still feel somewhat real. It's Seinfeld going weird and getting more money for Storylines, without too much of the outright cynicism of later seasons. Season 7: Pound for Pound just the season with the most great episodes.

Just finished a rewatch of the full series from start to end, and I gotta say my ranking of the seasons ended up changing quite a bit compared to what I thought they were.
